A Special Meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM)
In 2020, the Mediterranean region found itself a focus of international attention as events saw it becoming a place of increasing geopolitical importance. The Union for the Mediterranean is a unique organization that is well-positioned to foster initiatives as well as dialogue between the EU, Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries. With tensions heightening, this forum’s member states will meet to find a resolution to these topical issues and strengthen cooperation.

Abigail Treff
Abbie Treff is a senior at Tufts, soon to graduate with a degree in International Relations with minors in French and Sociology.
She has participated in two previous TUMUN conferences, as a crisis staffer and then as Operations Director on the TUMUN Secretariat. Model UN has played a large part in her college experience, and she is very excited to run a committee in her final year with the club. When she’s not browsing Facebook Marketplace for deals on home decor, Abbie is obsessed with playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
